Carleton-Willard's renowned Learning in Retirement program offers a packed schedule of concerts, lectures, movies, classes, and activities. You will meet some of the most talented musicians, artists and authors in the country, right here at the Village. There are also numerous group excursions to many of Boston's best museums, historical sites, theaters and concert halls. Check out our schedule of events for this month.
But we don't just pick activities that keep you busy. We know you want to keep right on exploring, learning and growing. At Carleton-Willard you can stretch and develop your mind, body and spirit as much as you wish. And you will have the company of some of the most accomplished, and interesting people you will ever meet. In fact, our library includes a whole shelf of books authored by the people who live here. And every two or three months our Village Art Gallery showcases the works of several Residents.
Perhaps, like many of our Residents, you are deeply involved in volunteer activities. You will find numerous opportunities to continue that pursuit here. Many of our Residents donate their time in a variety of fulfilling ways, including tutoring a student in the local school, helping a patient who has just come out of surgery at the community hospital, providing legal advice through the SCORE program, or knitting afghan squares for the VA hospital and donating handmade infant caps to the local hospital birthing center.
And there is always some physical activity going on. Join the standing game of billiards that takes place every morning, or learn croquet on our award-winning pitch. All day long there are exercise classes, strength training sessions to join, or just take a swim in our spectacular indoor pool.
And it's all right here, in the Village.
